Top Ten 2024 Wrap Up!

It’s hard to believe that we are kicking off showcase weekend and wrapping up 2024 in just a few short weeks. We have made so many special memories this session. Here are my top 10 favorite MCCA moments of Fall 2024.

  1. Staff kick off meeting- We had an amazing kick off planning session in August to gear up for our Eleven Era. It was so fun to connect as a team, create plans to make MCCA the best it can be, and even have some fun of our own playing some fun team building games.

  2. First Week of Classes- I always love the first week of classes both for session 1 and session. There is magic in the air when you walk into the building.

  3. Spirit & Service Week- Celebrating our 11th year in business with Spirit and Service Week was a blast! It’s so great to see all of the fun costume ideas and getting to give back to our community.

  4. Kids Parties- The Kids Night out Eleven Era Party and our Kids Day Out Christmas Party were a highlight of our season. It gave our students a chance to connect and make special memories outside of class time.

  5. Trolls Halloween Parade- The sparkles, bright colors, and joyous singing and dancing truly lit up Main Street. The Halloween Parade Kick off Performance is always fun, but this one felt extra special.

  6. Holiday Performance Events-The MCCA Holiday season is truly one of my favorite seasons, and this year we have doubled our performances and events thanks to our amazing community outreach coordinator, Quinn Stark.

  7. Classes with the Judy Center- We were able to teach several in school classes this Fall in partnership with the Garrett County Judy Center. This was a great opportunity to connect with elementary students and share the power of singing, dancing, and using your imagination.

  8. Hosting our JumpStart Bootcamp- We have brought on 3 new JumpStart Theatre Schools this year and we were lucky enough to to help co-teach the first professional development bootcamp with Cindy Ripley of iTheatrics. Getting to teach alongside Cindy, and help inspire these incredible educators, was a dream come true!

  9. Gratitude Week- We have so much to be grateful for at MCCA, and it is always great to reflect on our many blessings and celebrate with each other. Helping to participate in a Toy Drive for Students affected by the hurricane in North Carolina was a highlight of the week. Everyone at MCCA is always working to make the world a better place, and this week was a great example of compassion and kindness.

  10. Showcase Week- There is nothing quite like showcase week. We have 6 shows this year! Everyone is buzzing with excitement, and the MCCA team works so hard to keep everything organized, efficient, and joyous for the whole family. I’m looking forward to seeing our students shine!

Thank you so much for supporting MCCA! We are grateful for you, and can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring!
